A Suzuki TU250G scrambler.
"the 250cc engine has its architecture based on the DR250S of old. "
In the early 1980's I owned this nice BMW R100 I bought from a friend. I loved the basic black color of this motorcycle, it was, to me, one of the best classic looking motorcycles along with the Norton Commando I had owned. Of course, I always dreamed of owning the BMW RS100 model in the following story but I was spending most of my time with my dirt bikes so the dream never became a reality. Great story about the RS100 from Cycle World follows.
I am a fan of all things Hercules/Sachs with my main priority being the Hercules brand since I owned and raced one in the late 70's, my first true competition dirt bike. I thought the Hercules Wankel was the best looking Wankel engine of the time, although the Suzuki R5 was probably the more interesting complete package. This is definitely a spectacular revision but I hope they preserved all of the donors parts should they ever want to return the bike to stock condition. Read more here in BikeExif.
Motorcycle Design/Art for your enjoyment
Designer Oberdan Bezzi
A friend posted a link to a motorcycle art/design site on his Facebook page and I thought it well worth sharing. I think I've seen this designer's artwork mentioned on other motorcycle sites but not the whole portfolio. There are many track, street and dirt bikes to view, some being concept bikes.
Not strictly vintage but beautiful motorcycle art anyone can appreciate. I believe that AJS is a concept but I could be mistaken. I almost purchased an AJS from Sport Spot in Haledon NJ back in the 70's but eventually chose another brand I was more familiar with. But I still love the look of that bike!

Scramblers. I might think of them as sportier Adventure bikes. A bunch of street bikes who's style have been influenced by the off-road motorcycles I enjoy.
Honda has a nice collection of their motorcycles, on YouTube, only a small portion which are off-road motorcycles but still a very interesting collection and I hope more will be added. Above is a Honda MT125, one of the 2-stroke motorcycles they built although they are known mostly for 4-strokes. To visit the collection and browse more motorcycles, use the button below.
